High ram usage without anything taking it?

I have been having high ram usage without any apps using it, like 4gb has just vanished somewhere.

you can see from these pics that h1z1 is using 3,5 gb ram + others = 4gb, but where's the rest???

BIOS also detects 2x4gb ram so that isn't a problem.

H1Z1 is known to cause memory leaks. which is what you are seeing there right now. its poorly programmed and unoptimized and i dont know if they are still releasing patches for that game.

you can do any of the following to "fix" that for the meantime.
* reinstall the latest chipset driver for your motherboard. BIOS as well if necessary.
* optimize your virtual memory settings in your OS.

* download CleanMem (WiseCleaner or alternative tools) to help your system manage RAM better (temporary fix)

It's not that h1z1 is taking my memory. There's still 1.6 gb ram being used when i have closed all my other programs :

I have a ssd what I got few months ago and I have the latest drivers and I just updated my BIOS.

i dont see anything wrong with your RAM tho. the other remaining active memory that you dont see on your processes list is being used by your system/OS. you can download teh tool RAMMap to confirm this for you.

In use is different from just present.
Windows keeps data in ram in anticipation of reuse.
The longer it has been since boot time, the more you will see.
so long as you have some available ram you are ok.
