Freezing after KB4056892 update. How to prevent it from installing?

As the title says, After the cumulative update, January 3, 2018—KB4056892, I have been experiencing random freezes in Windows 10. Yes I can just uninstall the update but it will just reinstall so the big question I have is how to prevent this one update from installing?

I have done a clean install of the OS within the last week so I do not believe programs and hardware are an issue in this case. All hardware passes stability testing and stays well within the temperature ranges it is supposed to.

CPU: AMD FX 8350 @ 4.8 GHz
Ram: 4x4GB G.Skill Ares 1866 @ 1877 MHz timings @ 9-10-9-28-37
MB: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 CPU/NB @ 2600, HT @ 2600
SSD: Kingston SSDnow 120GB
HDD'S: Seagate Barracuda 1TB, Hitachi Deskstar 500GB, Western Digital Blue 500GB
GPU: XFX AMD HD7970 DD @ 985 MHz core @ 6600 MHz memory
PSU: Seasonic X850
Cooler: Corsair H100i GTX
Case: Cooler Master 690 II Advanced / 2x 140mm side fans, 1x 80x15 mm back panel fan, 1x 140mm and 1x 120mm bottom fans added in the optional places

Thank you for the link. I have run it and hid the update so all there is to do now is see what happens. I want to thank you for your quick replay to this question.

Windows has stopped freezing after hiding the update. While I realize this is a temporary measure It has worked. Thank you again.

Glad to hear it. Since that's a cumulative update it will just be superseded by the next cumulative update (which will hopefully fix the issue you had with that one)
