3 Monitor High Clock Speeds, Integrated GPU and GTX 1060 running together??

So I've been having high clock speeds on my new GTX 1060 and have discovered it's due to some error in Nvidia not working properly when 3 monitors are plugged in. I've read this can be remedied if you go into the BIOS and enable the integrated GPU. Then I'd use the GTX for my main HDMI connection which will be the only one used for gaming, and either one or both of my other, lesser quality monitors will be plugged into the integrated GPU. Does anyone know if this sounds like a dangerous idea before I try it? I don't want to risk damaging anything, this PC is literally brand new haha.

No, there's nothing dangerous about that. Worse case scenario is you may have a bit of trouble getting both integrated and discrete graphics displaying at the same time (although it should work).
