Hey guys, I have an aging HTPC that I’m looking into upgrading and I have a question about the impact of the upgrade on my current system.

My current build is:
CPU - AMD A6-5400K
Mobo - ASRock FM2A75M (Micro-ATX)
OS Storage - Samsung 120GB SSD
Media Storage - 2 x 4TB HDDs pooled in a “Storage Spaces” group in a RAID 1 configuration
OS - Windows 10

I’m thinking of transitioning to an Intel CPU (i3 most likely), and an suitable motherboard to go with it, but my question now is what effect this will have on my storage devices? I assume I will need to do a fresh install of Windows 10 on the SSD. With my local media being stored in a Storage Spaces pool on the HDDs I’m wondering if I’ll have to reformat those HDDs and re-set up the Storage Spaces, or if the Storage Pool will be plug and play. Does anyone on here have experience with this? Thanks!
