My Custom Computer is Struggling to Boot-up

Hello all, I am new to the whole custom built computer portion of the world. My computer is all put together, with the exception of the OS, and will refuse to stay powered on once I turn it on. The mouse and keyboard I have plugged into the front USB ports are powered on (as shown by the lights on them), and all the fans inside the chassis work when the power is on. The main issue I am encountering is that the system will not stay powered on ,it's almost as if the power "hiccups", and the monitor I have the system plugged into does not detect the HDMI when it is plugged in and powered on.
