Is a GTX 780 OC 3GB compatible with a Asus Z97-K mobo and Windows 10

I have an older machine which has an Asus Z97-K mobo with I7-4790K cpu and 16GB ram. My friend had an old Zotac GTX 780 oc 3Gb and asked if I wanted it.

Installed ok.

Windows 10 detects it Ok.

But when I try to install the drivers from GeForce it causes the machine to crash. Do you know if this GPU is compatible?

Yes, the 780 is compatible with the Z97.

Did you previously had another Nvidia driver installed? If so removing the driver with DDU and fresh installing the correct driver can help.

Also, is ur psu capable of powering the 780?
