New 4K monitor blinding me

I have turned down the brightness to 60% and Netflix looks perfect but browser pages are white so they are blinding me. I googled how to change the white background but found nothing.

Any ideas how to change the white background to a different or is there a setting that I may be missing???

Which browser?

Adjust color temperature settings.
Cool temperature will look blue-ish, warm - red-ish.

Also - you may wish to dial contrast settings down a bit.

Try lowering the contrast a bit as well. Too high and it will make grays look white.

I use Seamonkey and Google Chrome, both.
I tried the temperature adjustment and it helped some. My eyes may be damaged lol and I'll have to wait for them to adjust.
I'll fiddle some more with the settings.

Thanks! It was the contrast AND the temperature adjustment. I switched it to warm after I lowered the contrast and now I can see again.

I didn't have sound either at first and then realized I had to plug in the speakers to the back of the monitor. That was a shock!
