Hello.
My aims to lie under a 24" gaming monitor.
I've found a monitor arm with a 180° tilt
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B076QF49ZP/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1518631281&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=monitor+arm&dpPl=1&dpID=41j%2BXt5CG4L&ref=plSrch#immersive-view_1518631623271

However provided the arm holds.
My concern is the lcd screen itself collapsing on my face. From the weight of the components behind the display being held at a 90°degree angle (facing the floor)

Do you think a screen could break like that?

Solution
Instead of jury-rigged clamps, I suggest you use a VESA mount and attach it to a beam or truss. If you can't do that, then put a small sheet of wood up that does attach to beams or trusses.

A 24" gaming monitor is light enough that it won't fall on your face. The vesa mount will hold it.
