Graphics card not being displayed

I’m having problems with my new graphics card. When I put it into the motherboard and connect it to the monitor it comes up with no signal however the graphics card has power.

I’m using a:
Msi 970A-G43 motherboard
GeForce GT 1030 OC 2GB graphics card

Hdmi cable that’s it.

Assuming cable and monitor work, if it worked with previous GPU, then I would consider your 1030 might be faulty. If this is whole new rig, it could be something else that is malfunctioning.

Ive got it working, I removed the old GPU and booted the computer using the on-board GPU. Than I downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers and disabled the on-board GPU this made the computer do a scan and find the new 1030 GPU and it started working.
