Massive fps drops after recent windows update

My friend has been having a lot of problems after a recent Windows 10 update. The day before he was getting 70 fps on average in pubg, and 150 in csgo. But after the update, he gets around 20 in pubg and 15 in csgo. We have tried updating drivers, ddu, turning off xbox dvr, everything. Nothing seems to work and we are basically out of options. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated.

There seem to be a lot of problems with this update. Perhaps reverting back would be the best idea for the time being. There is really nothing super in there, just problems.

I have the same problem , the thing is it happened to me before the update but got worse after the update , I think it has something to do with power management and bad or corrupted files from pirated material , some claimed a reset would fix this issue , in my opinion is its a power management thing ...
but if anyone has a clue I'm waiting for answers myself !
