HDMI/Display Port -> DVI Dual link questions about it.

Hello, so I currently am thinking about getting a new pc, however the gpu it uses only has HMDI and DisplayPort. My monitor, BenQ Zowie XL2411, only is able to use the 144hz function with DVI Dual link ports. I was wondering if either HDMI -> DVI Dual link or DisplayPort -> DVI Dual link adapters would work for 144hz. Also, will such adapters cause input lag?

Displayport to DVI dual link adapters will work, but only those really expensive ACTIVE adapters ($100~). (if it doesn't say it's an active adapter it won't do 144/120hz)
You either need a different GPU or monitor.
HDMI can't do it at all.

Eh, it depends.
RX 580s can come with Dual Link DVI's and also not come with them.
The "stock" style AMD ones don't.
The one pictured in that amazon listing appears to be the MSI Armor series:

But that doesn't guarantee it's the one you'll get.

If you own the computer, you can just look in the back and find out.

It's technically possible the motherboard might have a DVI out, but that won't work as it's using the CPUs integrated graphics.

The Top review for it on Amazon does confirm they recieved an MSI Armor one and it does have a Dual-link DVI port on it.
