I have a 1080ti and Asus ROG Swift PG279Q. At max settings, shouldn’t I be getting 144fps or near that in my games? In one particular game, I’m only getting somewhere between 70-90fps. What’s the deal? Is the game not optimized well? Is G-sync the culprit?

What game? The rest of your specs? You wont be getting 144fps in all games at 1440p even with a 1080 ti and some settings such as say super sampling or high levels of MSAA will kill fps. No gsnyc has nothing to do with how many frames your PC will put out, vsync will cap FPS to 144fps or 72fps depending on how the game implements it. I would leave vsync off when using gsync unless you have a specific reason to use it.

Whoops! Sorry about that. Thank you guys for the prompt responses btw. Here are the main specs of my PC.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is the game in question here. I just think it’s kind of crazy how I have to lower some of the graphical settings to maintain a high FPS with a 1080ti. I get 1440p but man. And at max settings, I’m not even hitting 60fps consistently. Maybe I should change my monitor’s refresh rate from 144hz to 60hz in the Nvidia Control Panel and play this game at 60fps with everything maxed out?
