Hi

We have some family videos back dating to early 90's.
My dad took them from tapes to dvd-r in 2007.
They all worked fine, last watched in 2010.
Last night we went to watch them on my parents bluray player and half the discs don't work. Funny enough it's all the tesco brandy discs. The other brand work fine.
We tried them in Xbox one, PlayStation 4, mac book, Windows pc and 2 laptops (one made In 2005 Windows 7 and the other 2015 windows 10) nothing will read the discs.

Is there anything we can do here? We no longer have tapes.

Can anyone advise please.

The real question is can you actually read the disc in your PC meaning can you copy the files off the media otherwise sounds like the dye probably is bad which is why they can't be read. If that's the case you have to look into professional recovery to see if they have a system that can read the disc must it probably will be costly. Also for your other readable disc look into backing them up now while you still can read them look into M-disc format it a little costly but is designed for archival.
