My old mule finally died (q9300 + hd3870x2) and i am getting an i7 7700(non-k)+1060gb6 rig as a replacement.
Those pesky new cards have no vga output though so i need to also upgrade my trusted 19" 1680x1050 monitor.
At first i was planning on just getting a simple 22-24" 1080p 60hz for around 120euros, but since then i got some unexpected money (birthdays are awesome) so i can get a cheapish 144hz 24".
But while looking for prices etc. i noticed that a 27" 1440p 60hz would cost pretty much the same.
So, my dilemma is: higher refresh rate vs higher res.+ slightly bigger screen size.
Obviously, the build is aimed at games mostly, and the occasional movies ofcourse.
