Windows Doesn't Recognize

Windows 10 device manager doesn't recognize my Acer monitor as anything other than a generic PnP and it prevents me from displaying at 144hz. It displays at 1440p though. I have drivers from the Acer website installed, and I've tried different forms of installation, but Windows doesn't wanna do it. The monitor is an XG270HU. Thanks in advance.
