Screen goes black or freezes when I'm playing

Sound still plays but that's it
It happens when I'm playing for around 30 min, last time it happened I pressed the Numlock key and keyboard didn't respond
Start/Stop button doesn't work, but Reset button does
Is it a Motherboard problem?

MB: Asus Z97 Pro-Gamer
Processor: Intel i7 4790k
GPU: Gygabyte GTX 970 Gaming G1 SLI
PSU: Tacens Valeo V 900V

Does that happen with every game? I had games that did this.

It's happened with War Thunder and with Star Citizen

If the music still plays, somehow the operating system is working. This indicates it may be the games, crahsing in conjunction with, i.e., the graphics driver.
What do the eventlogs say?

"You didn't see anything" basically
No alerts or anything, just a log for suddenly rebooting the PC

With Star Citizen, as it is still Alpha, I would not be surprised.
War Thunder is freeToPlay, but gives the impression they rather build in new features than fixing bugs. Nonethe less, i see no reports of War Thunder crashing PCs.
The log-entries are of course from yourself hitting the reset-button.
I can at this moment only suggest playing a number of other (recent, free-to-play) games for a week, and see if it really are only those two games.
If it happens with other games as well, well, it can be an issue with your hardware - if not, it may go away with newer releases of the games OR newer graphics drivers.
I have no other idea right now.... sorry...

What REALLY bothers me is that the Numlock key doesnt turn off the LED on the Keyboard, as that isnt really related with the OS
My first graphics card wasnt working when I first received it and i had to RMA
The second one seems to work well, so I really hope I didnt get two bad products for my PC
Still, Ill check it out and update if it happens next weekend
