Hi I have 16 gb of DDR4 RAM and i am getting 71 to 75% memory usage on idle and the highest resource taking it is MsMPEng.exe which is the windows defender i believe. I do not know how to fix this and i need some help ive been scouting to find my problem for weeks. Ive done ram stress tests and even bios tests and they are not faulty so some process is taking a lot of ram and i do not know why. Yes ive done malwarebytes scans and all types of virus scans i do not have viruses,

It's the antimalware part of Defender. There's lots written about this. Like this: I disabled the windows defender via group policies, and now it's off and doesn't bother me anymore.

For anyone who wants to do the same can enable the following group policy:

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Defender > Turn off Windows Defender

Or you might find an answer here: https://antimalwareserviceexecutable.xyz/
