If my active subwoofer amp says to connect a speaker of 10 watts 4 ohms and i c onnect a speaker of 8 watts 8 ohms, what will happen?

Solution
A higher impedence is easier to go to than a lower one.
If it can handle 4 ohms, then 8 ohms is no challenge on the amplifier.
At both of those specs, I wouldn't expect much..it's not a powerful amp.

Sort of sounds like a "homework" question. Cannot help with that per se.

And there are various factors involved.

However, you can easily google the matter and find many explanatory links.

E.g.:

https://www.themasterswitch.com/how-to-match-speakers-and-amps

https://www.the-home-cinema-guide.com/matching-amps-and-speakers.html

Plus there are websites that will do the necessary "number crunching" for you once you enter the known data or requirements.

Work out what you think will happen.

Present that and how you arrived at that conclusion. Then request responses.
