Can i get at least 120hz from my laptop?

Hey guys, i want to ask IF i can get at least 120hz on my laptop whitch has only VGA and hdmi slot, i want to buy 144hz monitor but i dont have displayport port or dvi dual link, and someone tell me that i can run 120hz on hdmi but im not sure, so can i?

Your HDMI has to be hdmi 2.0 or higher for 1080P 144hz.

I've got only hdmi 1.4b.... So no chance to get 120hz 1080p?

That is not true, you do not need HDMI 2.0 for 1080p 144 Hz.

You just need a monitor that supports 120+ Hz over HDMI. This is not determined by the "version" of the port.

I would recommend the ViewSonic XG2401 or XG2402 if you want to run 120+ Hz over HDMI.

As glenwing just said, my bad. I looked up the specs again, and fortunately you can do 1080P 120hz on 1.4b
