With the GPU and RAM shortage problems we've been facing recently, I've got to say that I'm getting worried about what will happen to PC gaming as a platform. Now, I'm not looking to upgrade my PC anytime soon since I lucked out and already got my GTX 1080 before the prices got ridiculous.
My biggest concern right now is that since people who are looking to upgrade right now might be inclined to switch to console due to pricing on GPUs. And, in the long run, that might bring down the number of pc gamers who used to buy games on PC.
Will developers still keep doing PC ports in the future (especially the recent rise of Japanese ports) or will they just give up on PC?
Thanks.
