Whats the review on this monitor? MSI 27" Optix G27C2 Full HD 144Hz 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor? I will only use it for Gaming. How is the picture quality in games and so on?
I'm also looking at these monitors
Samsung 24" C24FG73 Full HD Freesync 144Hz 1ms Curved Gaming Monitor which one would be better?

That depends a lot on what you are used to. Some in game text might be difficult to read. Some HUDs will look rough or pixelated. In terms of being able to see a picture it will be effective enough.

I wouldn't do it today, when 27" monitors were new it was the only option, well that and 16:10. Given your GPU I would either go 24" 1920x1080 or 25" 2560x1080. Or spend on a 1440p display and plan on a GPU upgrade in the future. People tend to keep monitors a long time, more so than GPUs.

I suppose a little information about the system that will run it would be useful.

Directly comparing them:
27" 1080p is a little large for the resolution. The pixel density will be fairly low so you might experience less than sharp images (depending on your eyesight)

I can't really find any reputable reviews I am familiar with for the Samsung, but I would lean that way only due to the size.

If you are after a 1080p 24" 144hz panel, there are quite a few options out there, and even some 180hz and 240hz monitors now.

Or there is A 24" Msi optix same one as the 27", which one would be better between Msi and Samsung. My specs are
Gpu: Dual gtx 1060 6gb
Cpu: I5-4670k
Mobo: Msi z87 gd65
Ram: Corsair vengeance 2x4gb and 1 adata 8gb 1600mhz

Some horror stories on the Samsung about purple ghosting, but it seems to not happen to all of them, and there has been a model revision from G70 to G73.

Not finding a full review on the MSI 24" out there either.

The Samsung is a VA panel, so it is more similar to the AHVA panels from AU Optronic (the original 'IPS' G-sync panels) then it is to the usually TN panels for high refresh rate. So it still gets my vote.

Freesync doesn't do you any good, so the narrow frequency ranges don't matter.

GTX1060 is going to be a little light for 1080p 144hz, but if you are playing less graphically demanding titles then you should get the full experience there. The recent AAA titles will probably leave you closer to 60FPS.

also would the monitor inch matter in gaming ? Is there a difference in resolution between a 24" and 27 in gaming ? I'm sitting about 75-80cm (2,6 foot) away from my monitor .

Not in resolution, but pixel density. The smaller the pixels the less you notice stepping (aliasing) on curved objects. Text will be sharper. 27" 1080p is okay for games and video playback, but quite stressful on the eyes for reading. They'll perceive the low pixel density as being out of focus and try to compensate.

A more extreme example would be with VR headsets. Early models ran at 1280x800 and people experienced the screen door effect where the empty space between the pixels is evident. Mind that is at a viewing distance of a inch or two, but on a very small screen.

There is a ratio of viewing distance to pixel density to screen size. There are some online calculators you can review.

24" @ 900p = 76.49 ppi
24" @ 1080p = 91.79 ppi - Good
27" @ 1080p = 81.59 ppi
27" @ 1440p = 108.79 ppi - Good

Things like smart phones have PPI closer to 200, very high resolution with small screens. Apple is constantly talking about Retina class displays. This is basically just a marketing way of saying high pixel density. Which is why they end up with oddball resolutions like 2880x1800 to achieve that goal.

So would the 27" be as good as the 24" for gaming purposes?
