I need an MS-DOS type of printout in 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7,8, or 10. I was using "NET USE LPT1 \\computer_name\printer_name" in command prompt of Windows XP and that worked fine, but apparently, it is not available in newer Windows versions. NET USE assigns a shared printer to LPT1, so you can then print in the command prompt using a simple print command. The MS-DOS print is of a certain font and line spacing that I wish to preserve for consistency with some old documents I have. I cannot find a font in Notepad, Wordpad or Word that matches it. Also those apps will not give me the same pagination. Thanks, Paul M.

Try the courier font. It's a proportional font. Bear in mind that you may need to adjust the size in addition to selecting the font to suit your preference.
