Will fresh installation of OS on new SSD recognize old Windows license?

I just bought a new SSD and want to do a clean installation of Windows on it instead of migrating from my old HDD. After installing the SSD and Windows, will my activation license be recognized? I've read multiple answers, including that Windows will recognize my motherboard/CPU as the same system and activate the license, that I need to sign in to the system's connected Microsoft account, and also that I will need to contact Microsoft support for a new license key. Would really like clarification. Thanks.

In the same system, just a new drive...yes it will activate itself.
This is no different than just reinstalling on the same drive.

If this is Win 10, just to be sure, link it to your MS account first...
Fresh installs are much less of a concern with full commercial versions of Windows, where as prebuilts may completely refuse to install with a new drive differing in size/manufacturer to what is 'expected', depending on the manufacturer. Of course, if you simply disconnect the old drive, you may try a fresh install to the new one without risk, and, if it fails, simply reinstall the original.

The migration software for Samsung and Acronis works quite well, however, if for some reason your fresh install goals are thwarted.
