x86 vs x64

Hello So I've got a 1080 and a i7 8700k and I have aorus gaming 5 ,I'm on x86 because I thought it was 64 bit but it's not, just curious if this is why my computer is being crappy and having low fps, I'm going to install it soon just curious on answer.

x86 can only use max 4GB of system ram

I would definitely think so. I think a lot of modern games don't even support a 32 bit OS. I would change as soon as I could.
