The predicament here is that my uncle has his old HP Computer (Pavilion Elite e9220y PC, upgraded to Windows 10), and wants to both take his important files elsewhere, and over all speed up the computer itself.
Only problem is that the computer is quite literally always updating, and has been doing so for about an hour. It constantly restarts and claims it's at 100% while working on features.
I have no access to the files inside the computer because I cannot access the desktop.
I have a few options in mind at the moment (using an ethernet cable to try and allow file sharing, taking out the hard drive and plugging it into a different computer to try and access the files from there, and possibly doing something with the BIOs to help it along to update process)
Any suggestions as to how I should go about this? I'm not quite sure the methods I thought up are feesible
