Windows 10 Feature Update Always Fails

So for the past month or two, the windows 10 update assistant has been popping up almost everyday saying that I need to install the Feature update to Windows 10, version 1709. The assistant runs in the background for a while, but it fails to update every time. And now recently windows shows an info screen when I log in saying that I have to do the update as my version of windows will no longer be supported. I've been to the windows website looking for help, but none of the solutions works and I'd really like to avoid doing a clean install of windows. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks

It's downloading the whole iso which you can download manually with the media tool. Just select to save the iso to your pc and when it's done, you can run the iso. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
