I am pretty sure I have everything set up correctly.
-I have a display port cable that I am using from my monitor to my gtx 1080.
-I have set the monitor to 240Hz in the Nvidia Control Panel and the display adapter properties.
- In Overwatch, I have set the resolution to "1920 x 1080 (240)(*) "
- I have changed the Limit FPS setting to unlimited, 240hz, and display-based.
After all of this my in-game fps counter AND Fraps still says 144hz.
Additional note: I have also turned settings down to ensure that I could handle that high of frame-rate.
So I feel like I have exhausted all of my options and the same situation happens with every other game like Fortnite.
If anyone could help, that would be fantastic!
