What Monitor Should I get (Stuck between getting 2 different ones)

Currently Im looking to buy a new monitor as my current one has developed a crack in the top right from travelling. the two monitors that I cant decide what do buy are the AOC Q2778VQE which is 2560x1440p or the iiyama GE2788HS-B2. The iiyama one is 1080p but 75hz and freesync while the AOC one is just 1440p with a 1ms response rate, What one should I go for?

it is hard choice.
the 1440p@75Hz are not much more expensive - monitors are long time investment, totally worth to get the best possible one.
If the above not an option, depends what you do with your computer, what type of games you play, what hardware you have (and when you plan to upgrade it) etc.

Currently I have a R9 380 and i5 4690k, Will probably upgrade my GPU when prices come down a bit more. I play games like Rust, Overwatch and currently I'm playing TES games.

Any reason for the 1080p one compared to the 1440p one

75Hz is much more fluid.
And R9 380 have problems with 1440p.
