I have recently bought a 55” Samsung 8 series (4K uhd, HDR, curved) I have tried running gta 5 on it with my pc. My pc has a gtx 1080, i7 6700k, 16gb ram, and so on but it doesn’t seem to like to run gta well on my tv as I’m only getting 15fps on the LOWEST settings.

I previously had another 4K uhd tv without HDR and all that jazz and it ran on ultra and 4K perfectly fine, easing 60+ FPS. I think it was another Samsung, (can’t remember didn’t have it for long).

I’m pretty sure it may have something to do with the tv, maybe not though... does anyone have any idea why this is happening, i would definitely think it could run it quiet easily as I have done it before minus the addition of curve and HDR.

While on your existing setup and drivers, can you revert to your previous display and see if the issue persists there? If it does then you can compound the issue to the GPU drivers. On another note, can you please list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

I won’t be able to use my old setup as I replaced it to get this tv. Though I have a ASUS ROG PG279Q which runs gta 5 at 90+FPS on the highest possible settings on 2k resolution, so I’m sure i should be able to run it. I’ll check my drivers as well.
