Hi everyone,

First, my build :

MB: Z370 Sli plus
CPU: i5 8600k @5.2GHz 1.335V AVX-2
Graphics: GTX 1080 Armor OC @2GHz+
RAM: Corsair 2666 MHz @ 3000 15-18-18-36 1.25V
Cooling: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3
PSU: Be Quiet! Pure Power 600W
Case: Corsair 270R
Monitoring: MSI Afterburner and HWMonitor

I have made this build in november 2017.
Since, I've overclock everything CPU, RAM and my gaphics card. Everything's stable, fine

With the CPU i've reached 5.2GHz (non-AVX) at 1.335V for 75°C max during Prime95 non avx.
I've put an AVX offset of 2 to be at 5GHz during AVX workload and it's stable on RealBench, Prime95, OCCT and IBT for more than 4hours.

The problem is that AVX offset kicks in even during non-AVX workload like gaming (HOTS, BF1, Destiny 2 etc...).
The CPU stays at 5.2 at IDLE but as soon as a load is present, cpu stays at 5GHz with micro Bumps at 5.2GHz.
There is one exception, during OCCT Linpack without AVX, it's stays at 5.2 with some downs to 5GHz.

Does anyone have seen that too?

I have noticed the same thing on an ASUS mobo with a 7700k, I have no idea what causes it. Either games are using AVX instructions for whatever reason or the mobo thinks they are. I have not found a fix, I just don't use an AVX offset.

After a lot of research, i found that a bios issue... We can just wait and see.
I also disabled The AVX offset to make it full 5.2GHz and bumped the voltage at 1.36V but temp is now at 80-85°C that makes me uncomfortable.

With those temps, i'll delid as soon as possible.
