Am I lucky? Or just a normal OC?

Dear readers,

I've recently built my second computer and I did my first ever overclock today.
I'm wondering whether I should concider myself lucky or whether I just achieved a normal OC.
My pc spec's are the following
-i5 8600k
-Gigabyte aurus ultra gaming
-Corsair H100i (1st gen)
-Adata SX7000
-Asus GTX 770 (Bitcoin mining :kaola:)
-Corsair CX750
-16gb Corsair LP 2400 DDR4
-Aerocool Quartz RGB

My i5 8600k is overclocked to 4.7Gz @ 1.28v.
Temps during stresstesting go up to 60°C with H100i stock fans running below 1200RPM.
I'am quite satisfied with this overclock as this if my fist OC and I have temps which i'm very comfortable with.

My question is whether 4.7Gz @ 1.28v is on the better end or quite normal for an 8600K.

All feedback is highly appreciated!

General Knowledge when OCing CPUs: What seems normal might isn't unless you do stress tests to see if all cores handle the OCing. Good program to do that is Prime. So until you check every core you can't be sure for anything.

Hi, Wiemru

I have no reference or processor population to say if it's a good chip or not,

To be sure, you have to try to go the furthest you can (5-5.1-5.2-5.3 GHz) and see the voltage needed.
The statistics for the i5 8600k at 1.4V is
4.9 99%
5.0 84%
5.1 65%
5.2 38%
5.3 13%

FYI my i5 8600k can do 5.2 at 1.355V (non avx) but can't be stable at 5.3GHz whatever the voltage applied below 1.4V.

But With your temps and voltage you have big headroom to go further!!!
