Laptop Screen goes black when plugging in dynadock

Hi,
I have had a dynadock plugged into my lenovo z50 laptop for a long time now. However, earlier today, the laptop screen randomly turned off when my dynadock was plugged in.
I tried restarting my computer, but whenever the dynadock is plugged in, the computer screen is black. However, as soon as it is unplugged the screen returns to normal.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Try the latest drivers for the Dynadock.

I updated the drivers, but the same problem still occurs.

It appears the laptop is detecting an external monitor (or projector). Just in case, press the Windows + P keys on your keyboard to toggle between 'PC screen only' or 'Duplicate'. That way if the laptop is detecting an external monitor (or projector) it will display on the laptop or both displays at the same time.

Also try updating your GPU drivers.

My graphics card drivers are up to date, and toggling between all four options on the project menu still yields a completely black screen.
