Vertical Line on my Monitor

i just got a cheap used 24 inch 1920/1080p , Asus VK248H ( the Lcd version ).
but a Green blinking vertical line situated exactly in the midle is there but not in my old monitor so my GPU is fine.

i tryed to gently squeeze it but nothing,

i tryed to ignore it during gaming but most of times it is enoying, this line does not appear on Black or Dark colors,
i have been told it is a cause of Dew, so i spent 2 hours playing BF1, and left the PC benchmarking for more than 1 hour to heat it a bit hoping to remove that line, but nothing.

That monitor may be toast. Have you tried switching to a different connector type to rule that out? What are you using to connect to the monitor?

am using HDMI, used to work fine on my last monitor, next morning i will do some cable testing.

but seems like this thin line is digital, i mean it appears and disappears from time to time, but mostly is there.

Yeah. It sounds as though your monitor is on the way out. Seeing you got it second hand, it's not likely under warranty coverage. Since you've tried to resolve it by applying some pressure and it's not made any difference, the only other option would be to try a different connection type. If that doesn't clear it and it remains, you're unfortunately hosed.

i read that if the line is not persistant it may be fixed, and mine does disappear sometimes, can it be Monitor driver or refresh rate or some software adjustment ( by the way i did reset all settings )
