Pages unresponsive (google chrome) - Windows 10

I'm having trouble with google chrome, ever since yesterday the browser would either give me a black screen or the browser will be completely unresponsive when I try to click on it. I tried different methods such as renaming default to default.old and the sandbox method, none of those worked I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Have you tried reinstalling chrome?
