Is windows 10 slower on slow hdd

Hi some friends were talking that a pc will run a lot slower on windows 10 if you dont have a fast drive is this true?

Might things be slower? Yes.

Well, they said windows 10 ran a lot slower than on windows 7 with everything same, so he added an ssd. So, basically if i format to 10 with my basic drive, it wouldn't be worth it as they said, because things will take 20 or more seconds to run. Sorry for my bad english it's not my mother language, and for some sentences i feel like my tongue is bending. But yeah, the question is, is windows 10 a lot more hdd demanding.

Among all my systems, from exceedingly low end to relatively hot rod...Win 10 is no slower than Win 7. Often better.

People "say" a lot of things. A lot of it is crap.
Have them produce actual numbers.
