Hey I wanted to get some input from you all. I currently like the title says have the R3 1300x and later on this evening after work I am meeting up with someone to buy the R7 1700 (non X). Now thats 8 Cores and 16 Threads at 3.0GHz base clock compared to the 4C/4T on my Ryzen 3 1300x 3.5GHz base clock. I am buying it for $180 USD. Seems like a fair price for a nice upgrade. I wanted to see if you guys think this is a good upgrade and if its worth getting this. I think it is just wanting to check as this all fairly still new to me. I know I can get the 2nd gen R7 that just came out like the R7 2700 etc but I didn't want to spend more than $180 and the person selling it bit on my bid. Thanks as always

Just like vapour said, since you are doing the streaming and video editing, you will see more performance from the 1700. The only recommendation that I can give since I also have a 1700, is that you get an aftermarket cooler if they are not bringing the one that came with the 1700 with it. The smaller stealth that comes with the lower end Ryzen's isn't enough to cool the 1700.
