Hello all,

So, about a year and a half after building my gtx 1060 8gb / i5 7500 gaming rig I finally decided to upgrade from an ancient Dell 2010 monitor to the PG248Q. Should I have any concerns in regards to performance? Since I've never owned a 180 hz g sync monitor before I won't be able to tell whether it performs as it should, are there any free testing tools to make sure it does for things like fps, color accuracy, g sync etc? As per Amazon's details on it's condition there are only a few cosmetic imperfections on the side which I don't care about since I'm only paying CDN$500 taxes and shipping included instead of like $700. Also, one other thing, does the hdmi cord that comes with it support up to 180 hz, or only 144 hz?

Thanks!

Solution
There is no standard for supporting 180Hz for either DP or HDMI.
However, the HGMI 1.3 and above all support 144Hz. 180Hz is just OCed 144Hz which should work with the cable provided, so should also the DP 1.2.
