Hi!

My current specs (last pc upgrade 4 years ago) are:
i7-4790, quad core, 3,60ghz, 8MB, LGA1150, 22nm, 84W, VGA
Motherboard ASUS B85-PLUS / Intel B85, 4 DIMM, DDR3, 1600 Dual Channel
Ati Radeon R9 270x, 2 GB DDR5 (256 bit), HDMI, DVI, DP
750w PSU Chieftech
RAM Kingston 16GB 1866 Mhz DDR3
120GB SSD for OS and standard HDD for everything else.
Other stuff (2 hdd, tv card, sound card)

I`m interested at some point going for HTC vive (or maybe pro). As far as I`ve looked up, only GPU is the problem in my specs, everything else should be more than fine. At that time I got GPU for game playing at that time, and HD movies. I didn`t go for high end gaming ones. Now I`m thinking investing in a GPU, that would be able to run htc vive, maybe one that is coming (pro) also in the future AND would be fine for 4 more years at least. HTC suggests as one op the options Ati Radeon 480 https://www.vive.com/ca/ready/ but there are like 20 cards they suggest (perhaps would be smart to go for one that has 4k). Friend suggests Titan 1080, but then again GPU (high end one I think) prices went up because of crypto currency mining. I would be grateful for Your opinion, suggestions :)

Thanks!

At first I was thinking like 300 eur, but as I`ve looked around I might be ok with as much as 700 eur for a gpu. As it will be investment for next 3-5 years sorta at least.
