Let's see if I have this right. One gives the info to multiple media personalities because they promise not to publish until the stipulations are met. You believe them. What could go wrong?

Nobody can disclose the information early because it is encrypted unless the specified amount of parties involved agree to do so.

Obviously if you don't trust some one you wouldn't give them a secret to begin with.
