Hello everyone,

I am looking to get some answers regarding my new monitor. As typed in the subject line my monitor has a max setting of 120Hz. I have gone through the OSD and enabled the max refresh rate to 165Hz, and I am using the DP cable that came with the monitor (brand new, not refurbished).
As It states in my tag line, I am using 2 x Nvidia GTX 780 in SLI. I have read that to get up to 165Hz it requires a 900 series GPU, however my rig ran The Asus VG248QE at 144Hz for a long time without any issues so I was hoping to at least get that refresh rate again at the hiugher resolution.

Can anyone shed some light on what I can do to get the higher refresh rate? Or point me in the right direction to make the most of my monitor?

Thanks!

Same answer as here:

Kepler graphics cards do not support formats beyond 540 Mpx/s. 1440p 144 Hz is around 586 Mpx/s, and 1440p 165 Hz is around 635 Mpx/s, depending on the monitor. So 120 Hz is the max possible at 1440p on Kepler cards.
