Fresh install of windows with 100% usage on hdd

Why is it at 100% and how do you fix it because it is really anooying since it's making windows run really slow. Is it something to do with drivers? Is there drivers for harddrives? Or just have to update windows.

It might be Windows defender
Try installing a third party antivirus like Avast free antivirus

right click on your taskbar and open task manager, see whats been running your hdd...

Just needed to install all the windows updates and drivers. Now my hdd is idling at 0-17%
