Couldn't install windows 10

I am trying to update a brand new Lenovo T470s to the Windows April update 1803. Every single time in comes up with the error

Microsoft: Your PC hardware is not supported on this version of windows 10. Contact your PC manufacture for more information.

I contacted Lenovo and they got me to download a driver package, useless. I also tried using the update troubleshooter and downloading it manually, both also useless.

Is there any way to get this to work, debating on resetting windows. Obviously the hardware is supported, i5 gen 7, 8 gb ram, 250g sdd..........

Are windows updates forcing you to update to 1803 ?
Stay on 1709.

What make and model is the SSD?

The 1803 will not install on certain SSDs.

Hi Guys, I've got the same issue on a Lenovo T570 - Laptop is only a couple of months old. No other issues with the laptop, its worked perfectly since new. Guessing maybe needs a chipset driver update or something?? Problem is once its in this state I'cant get the machine to look for other updates - It only allows me to install 1803 - Then fails...
