DVI-D to VGA Display

So my graphics card(which is galax gtx 1050) says that "DVI-D is digitL only analog VGA displays are not supported". While my monitor has VGA display only, does this these 2 aren't compatible or do I just need a DVI-D to VGA converter? Please help

Normal DVI to VGA adapters will not work. You can use a DVI-D to VGA active adapter which is more expensive.
