I have a P8Z68 V-Pro mobo. It does not have a Display Port.
I intend to get a second monitor and Daisy Chain them. What are my options to get DP to my monitors?

My usage is Browsing and development.

If your system doesn't have Display port outputs and you need them, then getting graphics card with display port outputs would be the way to do it.

But daisy-chaining with display port is not the only way for connecting monitors. Why do you want to use exactly this connection type?
What monitors are you using? Do they even support daisy-chain feature?

My current monitor is U2414h. I intend to get U2415 (or 2412M) as second one. Both have DP 1.2.

1. My setup is PC to Receiver to Monitor. Which is connected with HDMI.
2. Considering, U2415 will mostly be my second monitor which is 1980x1200 (16:10 AR). Will HDMI work?

So what I am exploring currently is,
My current setup remains untouched. PC -> Receiver -> Monitor using HDMI connected to one monitor.
For dual monitor, I intend to use DP and chain them and switch between HDMI and DP when needed.

Do i have any other alternative that will work out?

Just connect second monitor with DVI-HDMI adapter. No need for display port at all.

I just checked, i had my TV connected to DVI using HDMI. It simply works. You saved me some money. Thanks!!
Will 1080x1200 work on both HDMI and DVI?
