So yeah, im looking to buy a new monitor.
I need it mostly for gaming. My fav. games that I play are GTA V, BF1, PUBG, Fortnite, CS:GO and other games like Watch Dogs 2 or some AC: Origins, aswell as Total War.
I would like to play these Games with high FPS(Above 75) and be better at the competitive ones. I never had a Ultrawide, neither a 144hz monitor or any monitor over 24 inch. So im not sure with wich to go with. On the 21:9 I was planning to crop it down to 16:9 if my performance is too bad, but then there are the black bars... Im not sure which one to take, I was planning on getting the:

LG 34UC79G-B 34 inch Ultrawide with 144hz for Ultrawide (don't know if its not sharp enough because or the resolution)
or
Acer XF270HB 27 inch 144hz Full HD for 144hz but without ultrawide

I have
GTX 1080 OC from Phoenix
I7-8700K
16GB RAM

again, I want to have high FPS in games.
I also would know if these black bars are annoying and if you guys have another suggestion which monitor I could buy.

How big of a FPS Drop would it be from 1920x1080 to 2560x1080?

Thanks in advance ;)

There is a easy fix to the black bars problem, you can just run your games in “Windowed mode” in 16:9, I would recommend dragging your game to the left/right side of the screen and then you’ll have a left over space that you can do anything with, for example you can put your chat or something if you’re streaming, or you could have a video playing, basically anything you want.

At 34" I highly recommend going 3440x1440. Alienware makes a ultra wide that is 120hz at that resolution and it is fantastic. I compared it to my friends asus and the panel is much better.

Anyway the ultra wide is very nice for shooters being able to see people on the edges

Thanks for the suggestion bro, but I don't have that much money for a Monitor, I can only spend like 600€.
