Hi there guys! I am going to upgrade my old FlatronW1946 1360x768 LG Monitor(VGA) with a Samsung C27FG70FQU 1920x1080(DisplayPort) Monitor.

PC specs:
CPU:AMD FX 6350
GPU: Palit Geforce Gtx 770 OC
Ram: 8GB...
HDD: 1 TB...
I am using a DVI to VGA adapter to connect my gpu to my old monitor. When the new monitor arrives i will use the displayport cable instead.

My Question:Will 1920x1080 decrease gaming performance? If yes how many fps(with my old monitor i can handle every game 70+)?I want to get as many fps as possible to feel that 144hz refresh rate.

Solution
Yes, it will. It differs in every game by how much, but you can turn the graphics down anytime. All I can say for sure that 1080p is much better.
On most games there won't be 144 fps, but a lot more than 60, so it's totally worth it. Also 1360x768 is a very low resolution and in 2018 not really good for anything.

Here is your card playing different games with 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 res
