I just installed windows 10 and I have an Asus mg248 (yes i am using a display port cable) but I've noticed that when i run the monitor at 144hz while playing csgo, once i quit the game, it reverts back to 60, and no matter how many times I try, the only way to get it back to 144 is by restarting the computer. My real question is there anything I can do to prevent this, or are my parts just too old?

I7 860 CPU
Nvidia gtx 1050 ti GPU
Asus P55-GD53 Motherboard

Make sure that in the monitor settings, the refresh rate is locked at 144Hz.

If this doesn't work, it may be because the monitor only runs 144hz when it knows that a game is running, but stays at 60hz when using normal programs.

If you have any problems, be sure to let me know.

Hope this helped!
