Fan is running nonstop

Hi. I have an acer laptop. I was playing a video game and suddenly my keyboard stopped working so I tried restarting my laptop but it can't turn off because the fan is running and not stopping. How do I stop it?

Holding the button doesn't do anything. How do I remove the AC power and the battery? My laptop is acer aspire r15.

The AC power is just that... AC power. Unplug it. If unplugging it and trying to power off by holding the power button again doesn't help, continue on below.

The battery is a little bit trickier. I found a video on Youtube showing the Acer Aspire R 15 battery removal. You would need to unscrew and remove the bottom cover of the laptop, then find the connector from the battery to the motherboard. Be careful sliding it out though, as the connectors are not indestructible. The video shows the battery removal, though your specific model may vary slightly in terms of what you see when the bottom panel is removed.
