Upgrade from a i5-3570K 3.40Ghz?

I'm targeting 1080p and stable PFS to pair with my monitor hz.
I would like to be able to stream my games without much bottleneck.

Current specs:

  Mobo: Intel P8Z77-M
  Processor: i5-3570K 3.40Ghz 6MB703,25
  Video Card: GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 8GB
  Memory: 16GB RAM (2x Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB 1866Mhz DDR3 CL10)
  Monitor: Viewsonic 24 XG2401 (144hz)

At 1080P/144hz that CPU should perform pretty good, have you overclocked it? An overclock around 4.2 or higher should give you a decent performance boost.

+1 WildCard999 this system is still pretty capable today.

Upgrading will require a new mobo - cpu and memory with will cost at least 500- 600 $.

You might want to get a i7 to fit the mobo or overclock your cpu.
