Can i connect my gtx 1050 to my DELL P2212H monitor?

Hello.
I wanted to know if a Dvi-d cable will work in this case:

My monitor: http://www.dell.com/ed/business/p/dell-p2212h/pd
my gpu: http://www.nvidia.es/graphics-cards/geforce/pascal/gtx-1050/

gpu dvi-d or dual link dvi ( i'm not sure about this one )

Currently i'm using a vga cable with a active adapter in the display port of my gpu, the problem with this is that the max resolution that i get is 1360x720.
I wanted to know also if with a dvi-d or whatever dvi cable i can get 1920x1080 (my monitor max res is 1080)

Yes, any standard DVI cable will work.

you'll have to use a dvi-d cable as a dvi-I cable will not connect because it has 2 pins on both sides of that slot pin that your monitor & videocard do not have holes for.
